ADVENTURE TIME BOOTH
In 2014, I designed a booth themed around the Land of OOO. Each section had an interactive component and everything from the walls to floor were customized.
Our fans of all ages loved it and showed up in costumes for photo-ops and signings.
Jake (John DiMaggio) & Princess Bubblegum (Hynden Walch) also had a good time!
In 2016 & 2017, I got to design some booth experiences based on the hit HISTORY show Vikings.
Original designs for an enclosed Vikings village with 4 activation areas. When space was allocated to our SHOWCASE booth, the footprint shrunk and we went with a single structure instead.
Fans could dress up for photo-op, get a temporary tattoo or hair styled like a Viking.
In 2017, the focal activation was an immersive VR app experience. A photo-op was added to engage people not interested in lining up.
We had lots of fan engagement for both activations.
For Outlander, we tried to capture the opulence of 18th century Paris and replicated the dining table scene from Season 2 for a photo-op.
Our splendid table setting was completed with chandelier, actress and century costumes.
Tons of fans took their seat at the table and shared the experience with #outlander.
MR. ROBOT ACTIVATIONS
In our first activation for Mr. Robot, we brought a little taste of the hackers’ secret hideout to Fan Expo, complete with pinball and popcorn.
We also left paint markers for fans to contribute their piece to the Mr Robot booth and our fans went wild!
The next year, we took inspiration from USA Channel and opened our own branch of Bank of E, where guests could “sign up” for swag.
For Supergirl, we had to work around the WB stipulation of showing strength without violence. Instead, we let fans drop their best superhero landing pose.
Fans of all ages took a turn at posing on the sculpted rubble.
To promote the new season of sci-fi series Travelers, we were inspired by the bomb defusing episode and turned it into an interactive game.
Working with a game developer, we developed gameplay that mixed analog and digital controls. Our fans raced against the clock to defuse the bomb.
Even the cast of Travelers, starring Eric McCormack, had a stab at playing the game!
